SA MEXINA

As part of the Tempête festival at VillaM in Estaires, the installation Sa Mexina is a carte blanche at the request of VillaM. Following Storm Eunice, the majestic weeping willow in the garden broke. I propose a contemplative in situ installation honoring the tree before the storm. The trunks cut by the pruners are arranged in such a way as to recreate the span, the territory on the ground of the willow in all its splendour. Graphic signs are painted with lime – a technique used in Mediterranean countries to care for and protect trees from parasites – a space of meditation which evokes us Stonehenge where the trunks are witnesses of the force of the nature.
